There are few things as great as watching NBA basketball on Christmas Day.
It’s a tradition that fans love and cherish and it’s easily one of the biggest days of the year for the league.
The schedule always reflects that, putting up some of the biggest teams in head-to-head matchups that are sure to get ratings and a lot of buzz.

Bucks at Celtics
76ers at Knicks
Suns at Nuggets
Lakers at Mavericks
Grizzlies at Warriors— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) August 14, 2022
Although most of the upcoming NBA schedule is still in the dark, the Christmas Day games have been leaked and we know who we will see face off on December 25.
The Christmas games are the Milwaukee Bucks versus the Boston Celtics, the Philadelphia 76ers at the New York Knicks, the Phoenix Suns squaring off against the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers versus the Dallas Mavericks, and finally the Memphis Grizzlies versus the champion Golden State Warriors.
Those are some good teams but which game should really be most exciting?
Championship Christmas
Some of the games on that list have raised a few eyebrows.
For example, some people feel the Lakers and Knicks haven’t earned a place on Christmas Day because they just had awful seasons.
Yet, those teams are from the two biggest markets in the country and one of them features LeBron James so there was no way that the NBA was going to let them sit things out.
The game that could provide the most fireworks is the Warriors versus the Grizzlies.
The two teams duked it out in the playoffs last season and it was obvious that they are rivals in the making.
Expect quite a few wild plays and contentious moments between Ja Morant, Draymond Green, and the rest of the squads.
It’s enough to make any NBA fan feel holly and jolly.
