The Dallas Mavericks currently hold the rights to the No. 10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
That’s not exactly an ideal spot for a team looking to add more talent to its ranks, but we’ve already seen multiple All-Stars slip and be overlooked by the first set of teams.
Kobe Bryant went No. 13, and so did Devin Booker.
Stephen Curry fell to No. 7, and the Mavs will surely hope that they can land the next big steal in the first round.
However, as high as some scouts are on Kansas’ Gradey Dick, it seems like the Mavs aren’t sold on the sharpshooting guard and won’t take him under any circumstances, according to a report by Tim Cato, via NBACentral.
The Mavericks are unlikely to draft Gradey Dick, per @tim_cato

Truth be told, it’s kind of unusual to see a team publicly removing themselves from a top-10 pick, and there have been no reports of indications of any issues between Dick and the organization whatsoever.
The Jayhawks star has great size for a wing player and his shooting prowess should translate well for the pros.
He’s a savvy player with above-average passing skills for a guy in his position, and he can efficiently score from all three levels.
Athleticism and off-ball defense could bode some concerns at the next level, but he’s a good on-ball defender and has proven to be the kind of guy who’ll take over and step up when his team is desperately craving a bucket.
Perhaps this is just outside noise, but it’ll be interesting to see what’s going on and what led to this report.
