Most everyone assumes that the Los Angeles Lakers will not make the NBA Finals.
They are currently down 0-3 to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.
No team has ever come back from being down 0-3 and it’s unlikely that this LA team will be the first.
However, they could be getting some important assistance in their next game.
Legion Hoops and other outlets are reporting that Mo Bamba has been cleared to return from injury in Game 4 against the Nuggets.

Bamba was one of the acquisitions the Lakers received at the busy trade deadline back in February.
However, he only played in nine games for his new team before being taken down by an ankle injury he couldn’t shake.
Bamba only got 9.8 minutes per game and produced 3.7 points and 3.6 rebounds.
There are many fans who say that his size and strength would have really come in handy during the playoffs, especially in this series against the Nuggets.
The Lakers have had a slew of problems lately but they have needed a lot more help in the paint.
Bamba could have provided that.
Even if he suits up for Game 4 and performs flawlessly, the chances of the Lakers clawing back from a 0-3 deficit are unprecedented.
Yet if they end up losing, Bamba’s return could give the team a taste of what next season might look like.
He could become an important part of the team’s frontcourt, assisting teammates like Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura, and others.
He has been gone for a while and it might be too late to help his team rebound but Bamba will still be welcomed back with open arms.
