The New York Knicks really, really want to convince the Utah Jazz to send them Donovan Mitchell.
For weeks now, we have heard how the Knicks are angling hard to get Mitchell, willing to send quite a few trade assets to Salt Lake City to acquire the three-time All-Star.
Their latest proposed package is packed – but apparently, it’s still not enough to convince the Jazz.
The Knicks' latest offer to the Jazz for Donovan Mitchell:
– Evan Fournier
– Obi Toppin
– Additional salary
– 2 unprotected first-round draft picks (5 total)The Jazz declined.

Inside reporting from Shams Charania states that the Knicks offered Evan Fournier, Obi Toppin, salary, and two unprotected first-round draft picks for Mitchell.
Despite all of that, the Jazz balked and declined the deal, meaning that the Knicks will need to do even better than that if they wish to try again.
Will the Jazz ever see a proposal they are happy with?
Is Mitchell Moving?
It’s very apparent that the Jazz aren’t going to do anything with Mitchell unless they get a monster deal in return for him.
They made out really well when they sent Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves and they are obviously anticipating something even better for Mitchell.
But it’s getting to the point where it seems unlikely that they will ship Mitchell out this offseason.
They have heard multiple offers and have said nope to them all.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are running out of options – there are certain players who they just will not part with and certain packages that are just too big and too expensive.
At a certain point, New York will just throw up their hands and stop trying.
That point may be coming soon.
Utah might end up trading Mitchell but right now they are sitting back and doing absolutely nothing to make that happen.
