Many people thought that the Sacramento Kings would have a promising 2022-23 season.
But few people thought that the team would be looking this good.
After months of play, it’s clear that the Kings are one of the best teams in the league.
In fact, they are now the second seed in the Western Conference.

The progress of this young team in less than a year is mind-boggling.
As a reminder, they ended the previous season as the 12th team in their conference.
They now have a 38-26 record after a big win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
The Kings haven’t been in the playoffs since the 2005-06 season when they were pushed out in the first round.
Unless something astonishing and unprecedented happens, the Kings are on their way to the postseason.
What is behind this massive surge and change of fate for a team that used to be the laughingstock of the league?
Multiple stars have come into their own for the Kings, including De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk, Keegan Murray, and more.
More seasoned players Domantas Sabonis and Harrison Barnes have also improved the team’s power.
Additionally, head coach Mike Brown knew exactly what he wanted with the Kings and changed the dynamic, the style, and the culture within the locker room.
All of this has come together to create a group that is young, talented from every corner of the court, and driven.
They know they have a lot to prove and they are very excited to do just that.
