The Miami Heat have been very patient and steady over the last few seasons, electing to stick with the roster they have instead of making major changes.
They wanted Damian Lillard, of course, but when that plan fell apart they simply stuck it out with their current lineup, and that has worked out well for them.
But there is a growing consensus that change is on the horizon for the Heat.
Anthony Chiang is reporting, via NBACentral, that the Heat are “exploring trades” involving Kyle Lowry.

For many Heat fans, this news has been a long time coming.
Since joining the Heat a few seasons ago, Lowry’s output has dwindled and he is currently putting up just 8.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The six-time All-Star is now 37 years old and he is slowing down as he approaches 40.
He can still help a number of teams across the league but it’s clear that Miami is ready to move on.
Lowry has fallen out of the starting lineup lately and has been a bench player for the last two games.
The star has publicly admitted that he is disappointed by this change but understands the decision made by head coach Erik Spoelstra.
Is this an indication that the Heat are already picturing a future without him?
Lowry has a hefty salary with the Heat and would hold quite a bit of value on the trade market, despite his recent troubles.
However, his position on the bench would likely continue regardless of what team he moves to.
Lowry recently said that he’d love to retire as a Toronto Raptor, so perhaps there is a chance that the team could add Lowry again.
It’s not obvious where Lowry is headed but he’s most certainly nearing the end of his stay in Miami.
