The Philadelphia Eagles had an impressive 2022 season but ultimately came up short in the Super Bowl.
After a team loses the Super Bowl, players on that roster have an important decision to make in the following season.
They can either run it back with their current team or switch organizations, trying to find the ultimate success that eluded them in the prior season.
Thus far, the Eagles have already lost several impactful contributors in the 2023 offseason.
While they were initially on pace to move on from Darius Slay, recent reporting from Josina Anderson has dictated otherwise.
From what I'm hearing per source, it sounds like the #Eagles are having a hard time letting go of CB Darius Slay at this moment, & still wish they could keep him. Let's see if GM Howie Roseman can find another rabbit in his hat–so to speak. No matter what, it's a worthy attempt.

Slay has routinely been ranked as one of the league’s best cornerbacks.
If the Eagles are able to retain him for the 2023 season, their defense will be that much better, anchored by a key veteran.
Last season, Slay had 55 total tackles, 14 defended passes, and added three interceptions.
Although he will be 32 years old next season, Slay has proven that he is still one of the league’s top defenders.
Will the Eagles be able to retain him for another year?
Jalen Hurts will need to be paid a healthy contract extension, likely in the 2024 offseason.
While that is over a year away at this point, the Eagles are likely looking at the future, wondering what the state of their team will look like.
Their offense should be dominant again in 2023, although, they have recently lost Miles Sanders in free agency.
Will Slay be able to join them on their quest to finish what they started in 2022?
