The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off an incredible season, with Jalen Hurts and company defying the odds all the way up to giving the Kansas City Chiefs all they could handle in the Super Bowl.
Although the Eagles appeared to be a team on the rise following the run to the Super Bowl, Philadelphia lost quite a few of their players in NFL free agency, as many capitalized on the exposure of the remarkable season they had.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles were able to lure defensive tackle Kentavius Street away from the New Orleans Saints.
Eagles are signing former Saints DT Kentavius Street, per sources. Street racked up six sacks for the Saints last season on the 518 snaps he played. Street now joins safety Justin Evans as the second free agent this off-season to go from New Orleans to Philadelphia.

Obviously, one solid signing isn’t going to make the defending NFC champions whole again, nor does it move the needle all that much, but the defense will get a boost moving forward.
With the NFC widely considered the weaker conference, the Eagles will have an opportunity to prove the 2022 season wasn’t a fluke and get back to their winning ways with a new-look squad.
It’ll be interesting to see if Philadelphia can get to form after losing C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Miles Sanders, Kyzir White, T.J. Edwards, Javon Hargrave, Andre Dillard and Marcus Epps.
Those are some costly losses for the Eagles and will likely take their toll on Philadelphia in 2023, but not all hope is lost, as this team could rally around their star players and put together another successful season in a wide-open NFC.
The biggest challenge for the Eagles could be within the NFC East, with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants potentially being solid threats once again.
