Are you ready for an important Week 18 AFC East battle between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets?
In what seemed to be an important game a few weeks ago, this matchup suddenly is one not many people will want to watch — especially with the quarterback situation for both teams.
The Jets will be without Mike White and are turning to veteran Joe Flacco.
The Dolphins will be without Tua Tagovailoa once again and won’t have Teddy Bridgewater, meaning Skylar Thompson is the team’s starter for the season finale.
The #Dolphins make it official, as Skylar Thompson will start in their Week 18 game vs. the #Jets.

Bridgewater suffered an injury in the Week 17 contest against the New England Patriots and won’t be ready for Week 18.
Thompson, the rookie out of Kansas State, has seen a decent amount of work this year in a season in which he thought he would be carrying a clipboard.
Thompson has appeared in six contests, throwing for 382 yards with just one score and three interceptions.
The Dolphins started the year 8-3 and in a prime position for a playoff spot.
Since then, Miami has lost five in a row and is trending in the wrong direction.
Nonetheless, the Dolphins need to win to even have a shot at the playoffs, and they need the New England Patriots to defeat the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo.
The odds are against Miami big time, and with Thompson starting, it will be even more difficult for them to clinch a playoff spot.
In a game that should’ve been Tua vs. Zach Wilson (or Mike White), it will be Joe Flacco against Skylar Thompson.
