FanDuel Sportsbook is incredibly confident in the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ ability to repeat their stellar 2022 performance or, at the very least, secure their place in the postseason.
Perhaps they shouldn’t feel as confident given the fact LA lost a lot of talent, but making the playoffs should not be much of an issue for them.
They have shown time and time again that they find a way to develop their own prospects and help veterans get their careers on track.
Player development is a strength in the organization.
Anyway, let’s take a good look at FanDuel’s playoffs odds:

The Dodgers are not as good as they were in 2022, but their only real threat in the NL West is the San Diego Padres.
That could definitely change in 2024 given how promising the Arizona Diamondbacks are, but it appears to be a two-horse race for this upcoming season.
Even if the Padres surpass LA this year, the Dodgers should be good enough to secure the first Wild Card in the National League.
The bottom line is that even without Trea Turner, Tyler Anderson, Andrew Heaney, Tommy Kahnle, Gavin Lux and Cody Bellinger, the Dodgers are the most likely team to make the playoffs per the sportsbooks.
Then, we have the reigning World Series champs, the Houston Astros, and the 2021 champion Atlanta Braves.
The New York Yankees appear fourth, and the Padres complete the explosive top five.
The Oakland Athletics and the Washington Nationals are the least likely squads to make the postseason in 2023.
