After winning a franchise-record 111 games during the regular season, the Los Angeles Dodgers came up just a bit short in the NLDS, falling in four games to their bitter rivals, the San Diego Padres.
The Dodgers had dominated the Padres during the regular season, but San Diego rebounded from a tough Game 1 loss to win three straight and advance to the NLCS.
Now, the Dodgers will start unpacking everything that went wrong in the Division Series.
However, there is thing they seem to want to avoid changing, and that is having Dave Roberts at the helm as manager.
The Dodgers are expected to retain him for 2023, according to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times.

Roberts Expected Back In 2023
Obviously, fans are going to have some questions.
Yes, the Dodgers won the World Series in 2020 with Roberts at the helm, but that was only a 60-game season.
Roberts also took them to the World Series in 2017 and 2018, where they would fall short both times.
With 2020 not being a full season, it’s worth noting that since 2018, the Dodgers have won 100 or more games three times, and twice have fallen short in the NLDS.
Last year, they fell to the eventual World Series champion Atlanta Braves in six games in the NLCS.
But given that information, there are certainly some question marks surrounding Roberts.
With all the talent they’ve had over the past several years, the Dodgers have only managed to win one title, and that was in a shortened season.
Perhaps it could be time for a change.
However, it appears that the Dodgers are going to stay the course, at least for now, which may raise some eyebrows among disappointed fans.
