On Thursday, the Arizona Diamondbacks pulled off a late come-from-behind win over the slumping Colorado Rockies.
Down by a run in the bottom of the ninth inning, they came to within two strikes of a loss.
But Rookie of the Year candidate Corbin Carroll had other ideas and slapped a base-hit into left field that scored two runs and secured a victory for the Diamondbacks.
Arizona won by a final score of 5-4, securing their fifth straight victory and pulling into tie with the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the National League West division.
On Twitter, MLB provided a video of Carroll’s walk-off hit.

The Diamondbacks are currently on a roll.
The team got off to a hot start and staked out a lead in the NL West, but ultimately lost it when the Dodgers began to heat up.
However, as we enter the month of June, Arizona has caught Los Angeles in the standings.
The team is full of young talent with stars such as Carroll, Christian Walker, Zac Gallen, Gabriel Moreno, Josh Rojas, Geraldo Perdomo, and others.
The team hasn’t reached the postseason since 2017, but does have a lot of young talent on its roster that could help them reverse that trend.
The walk-off win secured a sweep over the struggling Rockies.
Arizona didn’t get much love in preseason predictions after an 88-loss season in 2022.
However, this is a team that has been able to surprise many around the game and emerge as a contending ballclub after a few difficult seasons.
