The Dallas Cowboys’ season is over.
After a dominant Wild Card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they lost heartbreakingly to the San Francisco 49ers last night.
With this loss, the Cowboys continued a playoff streak that they are desperately trying to break.

Although the Cowboys have had success in the regular season, getting themselves to the playoffs regularly, they have been unable to find their footing in the playoffs.
The Cowboys have lost their last seven Divisional round games, which is the longest such streak in league history.
The Cowboys haven’t made it to the Conference Championship game since 1995, a season that they won the Super Bowl.
Last night, the Cowboys were simply outmatched by the 49ers.
The 49ers are one of the best defenses in recent memory, but the fact that the Cowboys were beaten by a team led by a seventh-round rookie quarterback tells another story.
Dak Prescott was unable to outperform Brock Purdy, which ultimately proved to be the Cowboys’ demise.
With any luck, the Cowboys will be able to make a few marquee offseason additions, putting them over the edge in 2023.
Their defense is spectacular and is led by young superstar Micah Parsons.
They do have a few great offensive pieces as well, including Tony Pollard, CeeDee Lamb, and Dalton Schultz.
Adding in another weapon on the offense could be the missing piece of the puzzle for the Cowboys.
When a team is in a rut like this, major changes are needed on both sides of the ball.
