The Indianapolis Colts have added a veteran wideout to help out their rookie QB.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Colts agreed to terms with journeyman Breshad Perriman for their new-look wideout room, waiving undrafted free agent Tyler Adams to make room for him.

Perriman hasn’t exactly lived up to the expectations as a former first-round pick, but maybe the fifth time will be a charm as he takes his talents to his fifth organization in seven years.
The 29-year-old spent the past couple of seasons catching passes from Tom Brady, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, albeit mostly as a backup.
The physical specimen logged a career-high 645 yards with the Bucs in 2019 before leaving the team and eventually coming back for a second stint.
He’s played for the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Commanders, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets, Detroit Lions (practice squad), and Chicago Bears.
The Colts don’t have that many options aside from undisputed No. 1 wideout Michael Pittman Jr, and new OC Jim Bob Cooter knows Perriman from their time together with the Jets, so this makes sense for both parties involved.
Indianapolis didn’t intend to retain Zach Pascal in 2022 and didn’t bring Parris Campbell back last season, either.
Alec Pierce is expected to be heavily involved in the passing game, but what happens with the rest of the wideout corps will be anybody’s guess.
The team needs to put Anthony Richardson in a position to succeed, so don’t be shocked to see them make another couple of moves to revamp their unimpressive receiving corps.
