The Los Angeles Clippers went the extra mile to try and get over the hump.
Kawhi Leonard’s main condition to signing with them was that they also got him Paul George, and they didn’t hesitate to trade multiple draft picks and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to get him.
Fast forward to today, and given their inability to stay on the court due to their multiple injuries, and the Clippers are now finally considering breaking that duo up.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein (via NBACentral), the Clippers are officially gauging George’s trade value around the league.

Notably, George has been available way more often than Kawhi has been.
He’s put the Clippers on his shoulders more often than not, and the only time he missed the playoffs due to injury was last season, so he should still gauge some interest league-wide.
George is an elite defender and efficient scorer from all three levels.
More importantly, he doesn’t care if he has to take a step back and be the Robin to someone else’s Batman; he’s embraced that role in Los Angeles, no complaints, no questions asked.
The Clippers may not be able to move on from Kawhi at this moment, though.
His trade value could be at an all-time low right now, considering he often misses time with load management, and he’s still not able to shake off those injury woes when it matters the most, not to mention he reportedly asks for a lot of control within the organization.
