For the first time in the past several years, it feels like the two best NFL teams are represented in the Super Bowl.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles offenses have been two of the league’s best all season.
Heading into this game, many are pointing to the Eagles’ defense as something to watch, but the Chiefs’ defense has been great in its own right.
Most sacks as a team this season, including the playoffs:
1. Eagles: 78
2. Chiefs: 62The 140 combined sacks by the two teams is the most in Super Bowl history, per @EliasSports.
The OL vs. DL matchups on Sunday will be elite.

The Eagles led the league in sacks, and the Chiefs were second.
Both defensive lines have been incredible all season.
The Eagles have four defenders with at least ten sacks, which is an NFL record.
The Chiefs are led by Chris Jones and Frank Clark, but there have been non-traditional contributors for them on defense as well.
With any luck, NFL fans will be treated to elite matchups between the offensive and defensive lines.
These teams have not met this season, so it will be the first time that Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will be facing off since their matchup in 2021.
Both teams look significantly different from the last time they met, which includes both teams making marked improvements on defense.
Sunday’s Super Bowl could be one of the best in recent memory.
If the defenses are the story, this could be a low-scoring affair.
However, if the potent offenses can break through, this could be one of, if not the highest-scoring Super Bowl in NFL history.
Which team will end up victorious?
Thankfully, NFL fans only need to wait four more days for the big game.
