The Boston Celtics had one of their worst games in recent memory on Sunday night.
They were brutally dismantled by the Miami Heat and lost, 128-102, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Celtics are now down 0-3 and any chance of them coming back to win the series is nearly non-existent.
They have suffered from numerous problems but the lack of three-point shooting from their two biggest stars perhaps hurts the most.
As noted by Basketball Poetry, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are just 7-of-40 from the three-point line during this series.
Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin of the Heat have been a combined 20-of-39 from downtown.

That explains the series as well as anything.

Brown and Tatum have not had a postseason to be very happy about.
Their output on the court has been limited, especially in the fourth quarter of games.
But all of the problems they have had so far pale in comparison to what the Heat are doing to them.
Both Brown and Tatum have been completely minimized by Miami.
During the regular season, Brown had a 33.5% three-point percentage but it’s only been 10% in this series against the Heat.
As for Tatum, he was producing 35% from the three-point line during the season but only 25% during this series.
Both players have been off their games from beyond the arc and that is hurting their team tremendously.
It is rare to see two players of such caliber encounter so many problems during the playoffs.
But it’s clear that the Heat have figured out a way to shut down both Brown and Tatum and their lack of output has dug a deep hole for Boston.
