The last week has been a rough one for fans of the Boston Celtics.
The team, which is still the second-best in the Eastern Conference, has clearly hit a rough patch.
They had a bad weekend, falling to both the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks.
Joe Mazzulla’s team was hoping for a big bounce back on Monday as they took on the Cleveland Cavaliers, but instead, they had another painful and drawn-out defeat.
The Celtics have now lost three games in a row.

On Monday, they went into overtime – again – and lost – again.
The 118-114 defeat at the hands of the Cavaliers is just the latest reminder that this team isn’t perfect and they can be taken down even with all of the A-list talent they have on the roster.
This is only the third time this season that Boston has been beaten three times in a row.
The last time was back in January when the Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, and Knicks took them down.
The Celtics were without star players Jayson Tatum and Al Horford on Monday, which only hurt their chances.
But even when both of those athletes were playing, the team was still suffering.
For example, both Tatum and Horford were present and played quite well (40 and 20 points, respectively) when the Cs took on the Knicks – yet they still went down in double-overtime.
It is clear that Boston is going through a tough spot but they have not given up hope.
The team is still optimistic about their chances and believes that they can hold onto their number-two spot and even climb back to the top of the East.
They are hoping to end this losing streak on Wednesday.
That is when they face off against the Portland Trail Blazers before a six-game road trip.
