In case you were living under a rock yesterday then you probably heard a lot of talk about both the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics.
The Nets were in the news because they fired head coach Steve Nash after a rocky 2-5 start for the troubled team.
The story got even bigger when it was revealed that the Nets are planning to hire suspended Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka to replace Nash.

With the news of Udoka’s upcoming hiring, it became clear that Boston’s interim head coach Joe Mazzulla will be taking on the job full-time.
This was confirmed later when it was reported that the team’s front office is now “fully invested in Joe Mazzulla and pleased with how he’s leading the franchise.”
Mazzulla is now the team’s coach and he’s doing a pretty great job so far.222
From Part-Time To Full-Time
When Mazzulla first took on the job after Udoka’s suspension, no one was sure what would happen to him or the team.
But he immediately got to work and has fit in incredibly well with the team and its star players.
The Celtics currently have a 4-2 record.
It is becoming more and more clear that Udoka’s suspension was likely never going to end and that the Celtics were probably going to officially fire him later in the season.
However, if Mazzualla’s start with the team wasn’t so strong, he likely would have been replaced too.
Now, the team is much more committed to their new head coach and ready to put the controversy and headaches caused by Udoka behind them.
As for the Nets, all eyes are on that team to see if they can rebound after an awful start to the year.
