May 29 could go down as a holiday for Boston Celtics fans, and we’re not talking just about Memorial Day.
Today marks the anniversary of a Game 7 Celtics win over the Miami Heat to advance to the NBA Finals, and history could repeat itself tonight when they square off for Game 7 again.

Of course, one could argue that the circumstances are fairly different this time around, but the outcome could be the same.
The Miami Heat entered the playoffs as the No. 8 seed after a rollercoaster season, but they switched to a whole different gear since the postseason started.
They knocked down the No.1 seed Milwaukee Bucks in just five games and then took care of business against the New York Knicks on the road.
They later took the first three games of the Eastern Conference Finals vs. the Celtics before they put themselves in this position.
Anything can happen in a win-or-go-home game, and the Celtics do have a history of crumbling under pressure.
But the way this team has rallied together to get back in this series and put themselves in a position to punch their ticket to the biggest stage in front of their fans, makes us think that there’s just no way they can afford to lose this game.
Tonight could mark a legacy-defining game for several players on both teams, and losing could even lead to a domino-effect and an offseason filled with questions and tough decisions, especially if the Celtics don’t manage to finish the job at home.
