After acquiring star guard Donovan Mitchell in a blockbuster trade with the Utah Jazz, the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to get the franchise back on track as one of the best teams in the NBA.
Even though the Cavaliers had already shown promise with Darius Garland and Evan Mobley leading the way, Mitchell became the missing piece to the puzzle in Cleveland as the team became a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference.
The Cavaliers went on to clinch the fourth seed in the East with a record of 51-31 and seemed to be a dangerous team heading into the NBA playoffs, but that didn’t turn out to be the case with the New York Knicks wiping the floor with them in five games.
With Cleveland failing to live up to expectations in the postseason, the team appears to want to shake things up; Issac Okoro is rumored to be on the trading block, according to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire via NBA Central.

Obviously, after a lackluster effort in the first round of the playoffs against a Knicks team the Cavaliers were expected to beat, the team wanting to or at least considering making a move to improve the roster is a step in the right direction.
Okoro didn’t make much of an impact during the series against the Knicks, as he scored in single digits in all but one game and finished with 10 points in Game 5.
It remains to be seen what the Cavaliers can get for Okoro and if the return will make the roster better ahead of the 2023-23 campaign.
