Kevin Love has become a very important part of the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ history, helping them win a title back in 2016 and sticking with them through thick and thin.
Cavaliers fans all over the country hold the player in very high regard.
Yet, his time with Cleveland is coming to an end.

It is being reported that the Cavaliers and Love are finalizing a contract buyout.
After nine seasons and plenty of memories, the team and Love are about to part ways and a buyout deal should be completed during the All-Star break.
The news of Love’s imminent departure from Cleveland is very shocking for multiple reasons.
Firstly, the Cavaliers are doing quite well and are currently ranked fourth in the East.
That means they don’t have to make any changes to stay competitive.
Secondly, Love has been with the team for nearly a decade so it’s surprising to see the team cut him loose now that he’s 34 years old.
However, the team might actually be doing Love a favor by buying him out.
He hasn’t played with the team for the past month, missing out on 12 games as the Cavaliers have gone 9-3 without him.
It is clear that the team doesn’t really have a place for him anymore so their agreeing to a buyout allows Love to find another home within the league.
He is now just one of several NBA stars who is in the buyout market, ready for a front office to sign him and his skills.
Love is averaging 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists during the first 41 games of the season.
He is slower than he used to be but you can be sure that a few teams will jump at the chance to acquire this well-respected, hard-working champion.
