Over the past several years, the St. Louis Cardinals have received a lot of criticism for trades made by the front office.
The most notable trades included players such as Sandy Alcantara, Zac Gallen, and Randy Arozarena.
In the Arozarena deal, St. Louis acquired pitching prospect Matthew Liberatore from the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Cardinals often receive criticism from media members over these trades.
However, an interesting trend has developed.
Over the past month, the Cardinals beat both Alcantara and Gallen and also took two out of three from the Rays, with Liberatore pitching a gem in the series finale.
On Twitter, a fan took note of this recent trend that the Cardinals are on.

Cardinals fans often wonder what their team would look like had Gallen, Alcantara, and Arozarena not been traded, and it’s certainly fair to assume that things may look a little bit better without those trades.
However, the Cardinals are somewhat pushing back against this trade narrative.
They touched Alcantara for four runs when they were facing the Miami Marlins in July.
One week later, they scored five off of Gallen while facing the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Now, they have won a series against the powerful Rays.
Unfortunately, St. Louis is well out of postseason contention this year.
However, they have been able to beat some of the players they traded away in what appear to have been lopsided deals.
And the main piece that came back to St. Louis in the Arozarena deal led them to a key victory on Thursday against the Rays.NEXT: Young Cardinals Pitcher Shared A Nice Moment With Team Legend
