It has taken them a long time but the Milwaukee Bucks have finally surpassed the Boston Celtics and sit atop the Eastern Conference.
They are officially the team to beat and have a strong chance at returning to the Finals if they keep playing as they have been.

The Bucks have had a very strong 2022-23 season and have shown fans once again that they could be champions.
As noted, they are now the top seed in the East and have the second-best defense in the league.
Additionally, they are in the midst of a fantastic 16-game winning streak and no one seems to be able to slow them down.
This has all been achieved despite the fact that their big four of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday have only started together for just four games.
The Bucks are dominating the league at the perfect time and are setting themselves up for a strong playoff run.
But they can’t close the door on other teams sneaking up behind them.
Milwaukee has a 45-17 record right now but the Celtics are close behind them at 45-18.
There is a bit of a gap between them and the Philadelphia 76ers (40-21) but a lot of time still remains between now and the playoffs.
Can the Bucks maintain their position and still be the best team in the East when the postseason arrives?
There is every indication suggesting that will be the case as they have overcome every opponent lately.
If their big four stays healthy and keeps starting in games together then the Bucks might actually get even better in the next few weeks.
