The Milwaukee Brewers are looking for a jolt on their roster.
The Brewers are in second place in the NL Central and have a 34-32 record this year.
Due to a plethora of injuries that have come the Brewers’ way they needed to add some outfield depth.
That is why they went to the free-agent market for a new outfielder.
According to Ken Rosenthal, the Brewers have agreed to a contract with Raimel Tapia.

Tapia has been a member of the Boston Red Sox for most of this season before his release.
He played 39 games for the Red Sox this season and hit .264 with one home run, 10 RBI, and six stolen bases.
Tapia is a left-handed hitter and a solid platoon player.
He hit .309 against right-handed pitching this year, opposed to .105 against lefties.
For Milwaukee, Tapia can be another left-handed bat in their lineup.
After losing Jesse Winker to the injured list, they must be looking for someone to fill that role.
The NL Central seems up for the taking this year.
Currently, the Pittsburgh Pirates are in first place with a 34-30 record.
Milwaukee needs to hit better to become serious contenders.
Against right-handed pitching, the Brewers rank 23rd in the league in batting average at .234.
Also, they rank 19th in OPS versus righties at .698.
It makes sense why the Brewers would take a chance on Tapia.
Now it will be interesting to see if he can have any impact on their lineup.
