Last night, the Atlanta Braves picked up a 6-3 win at Citizens Bank Park over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Michael Harris II led the way with two hits as the Braves collected win No. 59 on the season and stayed on pace with the New York Mets in the NL East.
But more importantly, it was a milestone accomplishment for manager Brian Snitker.
With the win, the Braves gave Snitker his 500th career win as a manager.
Snitker has risen through the ranks of the Braves organization and has taken them from being a last-place team to defending champions.
Braves writer David O’Brien sent out a tweet after the game last night about how the Braves celebrated their manager’s accomplishment, revealing that the team toasted him with a little champagne in the clubhouse.
#Braves had a champagne toast for Snitker after the game, let him know how much they appreciated him. Am told it was subdued and heartfelt.

Braves Toast Snitker
This is a nice gesture by the Braves players.
It’s clear that they appreciate everything Snitker has done for them and how he’s helped change the fortunes of the franchise.
Snitker is somebody who has been in the Braves organization for a long time and has seen it all.
He’s an organizational man who was ultimately groomed for this role, and ever since he stepped into it, he’s helped revitalize the Braves.
He’s helped turn them into a contender after they were a last-place team for a few years.
He deserves a ton of credit for what he’s done over his many years within the organization.
Snitker managed them to a World Series title last year and continues to have success.
The players love him, and they gave him a very nice toast after the game last night to celebrate his accomplishment.
He’s earned this milestone, and this is one that he’ll cherish forever.
