It’s no secret that the Oakland Athletics are off to a very poor start.
In fact, it’s one of their worst starts in recent memory.
The team eclipsed 30 losses before they could even reach 10 wins.
They currently own the worst record in all of baseball, sitting at 8-31 on the season.
Even the woeful St. Louis Cardinals have played better baseball.
But this season is especially bad for the Athletics.
In fact, a lot of their struggles have come at home.
They have only won two of their last 18 home games, a dubious honor they have not achieved in over 80 years.
The Oakland Athletics have won only 2 of their last 18 home games. The last time an A's team did that was over 80 years ago.

This is about as bad as it gets.
Just two years ago, the A’s were coming off of three-straight winning seasons, all three of which took them to the postseason.
However, things changed pretty quickly after the 2021 season, when they lost manager Bob Melvin.
Now, the A’s have become the laughingstocks of baseball.
To make matters worse, there has been a ton of progress towards a seemingly inevitable move to Las Vegas.
But it has certainly been a nightmare season in Oakland.
For most good teams, home is often where the wins are.
However, the A’s cannot be classified as such, and home certainly is not where the wins are this season, nor is the road.
The A’s were not expected to perform well this season, especially after the trading of Sean Murphy.
But they have taken their struggles to a whole new level in 2023 and are continuing to sink in the standings.
