The game of baseball is not something that can be broken down by any formula, nor can the madness of it even be explained at any point.
This postseason, we have learned that now more than ever, we should expect the unexpected.
The Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres are locked in a dead even NLCS, with Game 3 taking place tonight.
The ALCS is, as most people expected, a matchup between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees.
But the Astros are hitting just .229 this postseason, yet somehow, some way, they are undefeated this October.
The Yankees are also hitting just .169 and are alive in the ALCS.
The Astros are hitting .229 this postseason. They haven't lost a game yet.

A Crazy Sport
This is a crazy game.
Anything can happen at any given moment, but there’s more to it than just that.
When a team is undefeated in the playoffs despite hitting just .229 during the regular season, something clearly isn’t as it should be.
But that’s what makes baseball such an amazing game.
You can never predict how things are going to go.
Clearly, the Astros have been largely carried by their pitching this postseason.
All it took to win last night’s game was a three-run shot by Alex Bregman, which proved to be the ultimate difference, as the Yankees scratched out just two runs.
The pitching has been extremely good, and that can be expected to continue.
But the Astros are typically an explosive offensive team and can score plenty of runs.
But this postseason is proof enough that baseball is a crazy game.
Despite everything, the Astros are still undefeated in the postseason and could soon end up sweeping the Yankees and advancing to the World Series
