The Los Angeles Angels are off to a hot start in 2023.
The team is 19-14 after 33 games.
They’ve also won five games in a row and have pulled into tie with the first place Texas Rangers in the American League West.
But the way they won their game on Friday was about as unconventional as one could imagine.
With Anthony Rendon at the plate, the Angels had a chance to win in the bottom of the 10th.
A wild pitch from Rangers reliever Josh Sborz ultimately proved to be the difference, as shortstop Zach Neto scored from third base to deliver a wild walk-off win for the Halos.
MLB on FOX tweeted a video of the defining moment.

Not often do games end in this fashion.
With one out in the bottom of the 10th, it appeared that it would take either a hit or a sacrifice fly to win the game.
But the pitch got away from Sborz, and the Angels ultimately ended up celebrating a dramatic walk-off win.
Even more impressive was the fact that the Halos were down 4-0 in the bottom of the eighth.
They scratched across one run in that inning before scoring three in the bottom of the ninth to tie the ballgame.
Luis Rengifo tied the game in the ninth with a base-hit to score catcher Chad Wallach.
One inning later, the Angels were celebrating an improbable come-from-behind victory against the new-look Rangers.
The two teams will continue their important three-game series on Saturday night.
