The 2023 NFL season was an impressive year for the Houston Texans, with the team making all the right moves to get the struggling NFL franchise back on track ahead of the regular season.
The Texans made the move to bring in rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and then traded for the No. 3 overall pick to select defensive end Will Anderson Jr.
Both moves were brilliant and paid off immediately for Houston, along with the team bringing in DeMeco Ryans as their new head coach, who was a finalist for NFL Coach of the Year.
Along with these three moves that turned out to be steps in the right direction, the Texans also drafted rookie wide receiver Tank Dell in the third round of the draft.
Dell had an incredible start to his NFL career, putting up solid numbers on a weekly basis while becoming Stroud’s favorite target downfield, but his rookie campaign was cut short as he suffered a leg injury that ruled him out for the season.
However, Dell seems to be well on his way to returning to the field ahead of schedule, according to KPRC 2 Houston via Dov Kleiman.

"He's way ahead of schedule. Hasn't missed a beat. He'll be more than ready when OTAs jump off."

In the 11 games he played for the Texans during the 2023 campaign, Dell caught 47 passes for 709 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, which is impressive for a rookie wideout, to say the least.
With Dell back in the fold next season, he could take his game to another level if he can continue building chemistry with Stroud and the offense in Houston continues to improve.
