The Houston Texans‘ roster has changed significantly throughout the offseason.
They have a new quarterback, and they’ve made considerable investments up and down the roster in hopes of an improved year.
To help protect C.J. Stroud, the Texans have recently resigned Tytus Howard, according to Adam Schefter.
Another big-money OT deal in Houston: Former Texans 1st-round pick Tytus Howard and Houston reached agreement on a 3-year, $56 million extension that includes $36.5M gtd, per source.

As Schefter points out, this contract is for three years, a $56 million deal that locks up Howard.
According to PFF, Howard allowed just three sacks last season, playing 997 snaps for the Texans.
In his first three years, he gave up a combined six sacks, making him one of the best in the business.
A familiar face will be in the building, tasked with protecting the team’s newest asset.
The Texans have struggled at the quarterback position ever since Deshaun Watson left the organization.
As they move forward with Stroud, they’ll look to get back to their former glory, trying to win the division for the first time since 2019.
The Texans haven’t recorded a winning season since the 2019 campaign.
If Stroud can find year one success, there is reason to believe that the Texans can return to this former style of play.
Besides the Jacksonville Jaguars, the other two teams in the AFC South are likely to roll out new quarterbacks.
The Indianapolis Colts selected Anthony Richardson in the first round of this year’s draft, and the Tennessee Titans could be moving on from Ryan Tannehill.
With that in mind, the Texans could sneak up on the division, resulting in a surprisingly positive season.
