The Houston Texans have had a difficult time with their quarterback position since Deshaun Watson left the team.
Now, the Texans find themselves in a prime position to draft a top quarterback prospect, given their position at second overall.
With the draft just around the corner, it appears that the Texans have narrowed their search to two players.
According to DeMeco Ryans, the team’s new head coach, the team will meet with Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud.

Stroud and Young are often identified as the two best quarterback prospects in this draft.
The good news for the Texans is that they’re able to take one of these two, should they so choose.
Most teams have a favorite prospect, but in this case, they might be able to settle for their second choice.
Both players are highly touted and have been profiled as likely NFL starters for several years.
Young won the Heisman trophy in 2021 after his spectacular play at the University of Alabama.
Although Stroud didn’t achieve this honor, he certainly had his fair share of highlights from his time at Ohio State.
The Carolina Panthers have recently traded up to the number one overall pick, and they are also in need of a quarterback.
Although they have been publicly in favor of Stroud, they could just as easily draft Young, if he continues to rise in their eyes.
With the draft just around the corner, these teams are running out of time to make their respective decisions on this franchise-altering position.
