Deshaun Watson‘s shadow still looms large over the Houston Texans.
After all, he is the last quarterback that led them to a winning season and a playoff victory.
Unfortunately, everything went south for the Texans after the 2020 season, wherein Watson led the league in passing yards despite winning just four games.
The exodus of talent turned them from contenders to losers in two seasons.
The situation turned worse when Watson demanded a trade.
Then came the sexual misconduct allegations, forcing the Texans not to use him throughout the 2021 season.
Eventually, the Texans traded him in exchange for the Cleveland Browns’ first-round picks in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
However, he is currently serving an 11-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
With Watson already on another team, the Texans wanted to bury his memory for good.
That’s why they are giving fans an attractive offer.
It’s here.
Fans asked. Mr. McNair delivered.— Houston Texans (@HoustonTexans) October 10, 2022
The Texans tweeted, “It’s here. Fans asked. Mr. McNair delivered.”
It included a photo from the Texans team shop, which said, “44 percent off. Trade in select player jerseys for 44% off your purchase of a new jersey.”
Specifics Of The Jersey Swap
Fans will be able to exchange player jerseys at the Houston Texans Team Shop at NRG Stadium until October 15 at 5:30 pm ET.
Jerseys eligible for exchange include players originally acquired from 2017 to 2021 and are no longer on the Texans’ roster.
Fans may exchange a Game, Limited or Elite jersey to receive 44% off a new jersey of the same style.
Game jerseys are available immediately in-store at the Texans Team Shop.
Meanwhile, Limited or Elite jerseys will take three to six weeks to complete.
Through this promotion, Texans fans will be enticed to get jerseys of new players like Davis Mills, Dameon Pierce, and Brandin Cooks, to name a few.
