The Detroit Lions are a team in the NFC that is getting a lot of buzz ahead of the 2023 NFL season, with head coach Dan Campbell and company seemingly getting this franchise back on the right track last season with some talented players on both sides of the football.
Although the team’s defense should be improved with Aidan Hutchinson having one year under his belt, it’s the offense that is making all the noise in Detroit right now, as the Lions could potentially be stacked offensively during the upcoming season.
Last year, quarterback Jared Goff proved he could still get it done under center by making the Pro Bowl while connecting with Amon-Ra St. Brown on more than one occasion, which became one of the better quarterback-receiver duos in the league.
In 2023, the team has only gotten better offensively with the return of Marvin Jones Jr. and the arrival of rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
Along with those additions, the Lions now have some insurance at the quarterback position, with the team signing veteran Teddy Bridgewater, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Although Bridgewater is not the player he once was with the NFC North’s Minnesota Vikings, he’s still a formidable backup behind Goff and will surely help the team moving forward while letting Campbell breathe a sigh of relief having a proven veteran in Detroit.
With the NFC being weaker than it’s been in recent memory this year, the Lions have an opportunity to take advantage and try to come out on top in the NFC North division.
