Teddy Bridgewater’s NFL career didn’t pan out the way everybody expected it to.
However, he’s ready to get started with the new chapter of his career, one that will bring him and plenty of young people plenty of joy.
According to a report by Rod Walker of The Times-Picayune, Bridgewater has been appointed as the new head coach at Miami Northwestern High School.

The 31-year-old quarterback had already announced his desire to walk away from the game and become a high school head coach earlier in the season.
He spent his final campaign in the league as Jared Goff’s backup with the Detroit Lions, and his season came to an abrupt and heartbreaking end with a road loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
Bridgewater made it to the league nine seasons ago, getting started with the Minnesota Vikings and looking like a superstar in the making.
Then, a gruesome and heartbreaking injury derailed his promising career, and he was never able to establish himself as a starter again, albeit he had plenty of chances.
He played for the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, and Lions before eventually calling it quits.
A beloved and respected member of the NFL community, he’ll now look to give back and return to the very same place his playing career started before he committed to play at the University of Louisville, where he became one of the most exciting players to watch in college in recent years.
