Stephen Curry made history this week by passing Ray Allen on the NBA all-time list for made three-pointers.
He is now going to keep building his own personal mark and making multiple shots from deep per game will help the figure to keep climbing.
As expected, Curry holds the active mark for most consecutive games with a made three.
But what about second place?
That is where the surprise comes into play.

Luguentz Dort, or simply Lu Dort, is behind Curry’s insane mark of 152 with 40 consecutive games with a made three.
Looking at his game log makes that mark much more impressive because unlike Curry, he is not shooting as many threes as he wants.
He is being efficient with his shots, and is shooting just over 33 percent from deep this season.
No One Is Catching Curry
The fact Dort is over 100 games behind Curry proves just how dominant the Golden State Warriors star has always been.
Him not making a three in a game almost feels weird at this point.
Like with the all-time total, this active streak is only going to continue growing.
Curry has only been limited to one made three-pointer once this season, and has had multiple makes in every other game.
In the month of December alone he has at least five made threes in six of seven games.
The NBA bubble was 16 months ago & now Lu Dort is 2nd in most consecutive games with a 3-pointer in the NBA…
The developmental track he’s been on has just been unreal. https://t.co/gbfYpYabHs

As for Dort, he is plugging away on a struggling Oklahoma City Thunder team.
He is second on the team in scoring with 17 points per game and has gradually gotten better with each season in the NBA.
Is he a legendary shooter from deep?
No, but he is good for a least one three-point make per game.
That can sometimes be the difference between winning and losing.
