The NFL offseason is nearing training camp and that is when most rosters come into focus.
Most of the top free agents are already signed, but one position has a few veterans still looking for a team.
Some of the top running backs from the past few seasons have not been signed.
The running back market could not be any lower right now.
Most teams have no interest in signing a running back for anything more than a league-minimum deal.
Also, running backs with a lot of usage under their belt are not of much interest.
That is why Leonard Fournette and Ezekiel Elliott are still looking for a team.
At least one of these two has been given a chance to work out for a team.
According to Tom Pelissero, the New England Patriots are working out Fournette on Wednesday.
Veteran RB Leonard Fournette is working out today for the #Patriots, per sources.

It seems like the Patriots have been in the market for a running back.
New England was linked to former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook.
So it makes some sense to see them interested in Fournette as well.
The Patriots have Rhamondre Stevenson as their starter and not much else behind him.
It makes total sense that they will look to add a veteran for cheap.
While Fournette might be at the tail end of his career he can still be productive in a limited role.
He rushed for 668 yards on 189 carries last season but was more effective as a pass catcher.
The 28-year-old caught 73 passes for 523 yards and three touchdowns.
Maybe Fournette could settle into a role as a third-down back to try and extend his career.
