It’s the end of the road for one Phoenix Suns player.
It’s not just Kevin Durant leaving the Suns, because the team is making other adjustments to the roster as the offseason begins.
According to Rob Murrows, the Suns are declining Vasilije Micic’s $8.1 million team option for next season, which makes him an unrestricted free agent.
Phoenix had until next week to decide what they wanted with Micic, but they didn’t need that much time because they were ready to let him go.

Of course, that wasn’t the only big adjustment the Suns made this week.
They just agreed to a massive trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and picks.
There is still speculation about what they will do with Green, and he could be leaving Phoenix for another destination.
The Suns want to free up space and money so they can make moves for more players, and this may be part of that.
By declining this team option, the Suns can save some extra cash, which will give them flexibility in the weeks ahead.
Micic isn’t staying with the Suns, but he could be leaving for another team or could head overseas to play international basketball.
Micic was with the Suns for just one season and didn’t do much during that time.
He played in only five games, averaging 0.0 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.2 assists during that time.
He is a talented basketball player, as evidenced by the 7.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists that he averaged for the Charlotte Hornets at the start of 2024-25.
Now he will have a chance to impress with another team, either in the NBA or overseas.
