Fans of the Brooklyn Nets have high hopes for their new player, Ben Simmons.
Ever since the team acquired Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn’s faithful followers have been wondering just how great a fit he will be with the team.
But they have also been wondering just when they’ll actually see him on the floor with his new squad.
Because of a back injury, Simmons’ debut in Brooklyn has been delayed.
But even head coach Steve Nash isn’t sure when the delay will come to an end.
Steve Nash on Ben Simmons’ back delaying his debut: “He’s had back issues at times. So I don't want to say he's got a bad back. I don't know if that's fair. I think he's had a flare up.” #nets

Speaking with the press, Nash opened up about Simmons’ absence, saying, “He’s had back issues at times. So I don’t want to say he’s got a bad back. I don’t know if that’s fair. I think he’s had a flare up.”
Will this flare up keep Simmons away from his team much longer?
Brooklyn Needing Ben
The Nets are doing a bit better than they were just a few weeks ago when Kevin Durant was still out because of injury.
In fact, the Nets have officially won three games in a row, something they haven’t done in a long time.
The team is now the eighth team in the East and has high hopes to keep improving.
But to do that, they will need Simmons to improve their defensive game.
Durant is doing a lot, there is no doubt about that, but he needs more assistance on the floor.
Simmons is known for his defensive power and if he is able to join the team soon, he will greatly improve Brooklyn’s ability to defend.
That’s one of the reasons why Brooklyn fans are eager to see Simmons’ flare up addressed and handled as soon as possible.
