The Golden State Warriors have been extremely lucky when it comes to acquiring talented players during the NBA Drafts.
After all, the Warriors drafted the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
The trio helped the Warriors reach six NBA Finals in the modern era and won four NBA Championships.
Speaking of young, talented players, the Warriors drafted Brandin Podziemski with the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Considering Podziemski is a mid-first-round draft pick, there wasn’t a huge expectation from him during his rookie year.
However, the 20-year-old has seemingly earned the trust of the Warriors’ coaching staff.
In fact, after seeing Brandin Podziemski’s incredible playmaking night against the Memphis Grizzlies, head coach Steve Kerr heaped huge praise on him via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“He’s not a point, he’s not a two guard, he’s just a basketball player,” Kerr said.

Considering Podziemski plays the shooting guard position for the Warriors, he isn’t usually expected to dish out assists to his teammates.
However, Podziemski finished the game with 14 assists, alongside 12 points and 7 rebounds against the Grizzlies.
Keeping that in mind, Kerr was asked if he thinks Podziemski is a possible contender to become a point guard for the Warriors or will stay in his current position.
Kerr gave an excellent answer, suggesting that he is simply a basketball player and will do everything in his power to help the Warriors win games.
Brandin Podziemski is averaging 9.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for the Warriors while playing 25.1 minutes per game in the 2023-24 NBA season.
