The Golden State Warriors let one of their greatest players ever go.
Now, it’ll be up to Jonathan Kuminga to step up and be Stephen Curry’s preferred sidekick.
Kuminga has shown flashes of incredible ability on both ends of the floor, but he’s still a work in progress on offense.
That’s why Warriors coach Steve Kerr was so thrilled to watch him knock down three-pointers with ease and get into a rhythm from beyond the arc.
Following their latest preseason contest, Coach Kerr tipped his hat to Kuminga for showing no hesitation with his three-point shot and for being more efficient in catch-and-shoot situations (via 95.7 The Game).

Kuminga is an athletic freak with the potential to be a lockdown defender and someone who could guard one through five.
He’s also someone who can take flight at any time and has always been very dangerous when he gets into the paint, but the lack of consistency as a mid-range and long-range shooter has set him back.
Steve Kerr has also been hesitant to give him a longer leash or a bigger role, but with Klay Thompson gone, they will have to rely early and often on the former G-League Ignite player.
Kuminga had also been quite vocal about his frustration with the lack of trust in his game in the past.
But he looks ready to make a huge impact now, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him lead the pack for the Most Improved Player distinction next season.
