Even the most diehard Phoenix Suns fans agree that the team isn’t performing like it should.
After multiple seasons of coming up short in the playoffs, people are wondering if they will ever get it together and capitalize on the talent brought by Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
Former player Stephon Marbury claims he knows what the Suns need.
“They need a scoring point guard. They need a guy that can get them going but can really go too,” Marbury said, per Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, via NBACentral.
He then added a suggestion for the team: “Like the kid that plays for the Indiana Pacers? Tyrese [Haliburton]. He didn’t play in the Olympics that much this year. But if he gets stronger? Oh my God, he will be off the hook!”
Stephon Marbury says the Phoenix Suns need to add a scoring point guard next to Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant in order to reach the next level

Phoenix’s lack of a solid and reliable point guard has been something that many people have spoken about.
They feel the Suns would be a lot better if they had someone running the ball, helping with assists, and taking shots.
Although Durant, Booker, Bradley Beal, and others are gifted offensively, the team doesn’t have a point guard who can be counted on night after night.
Marbury said the Suns should pursue Haliburton but he’s currently very committed to his Indiana Pacers.
Meanwhile, Phoenix just signed Tyus Jones, the 28-year-old point guard who just played for the Washington Wizards.
Last season, Jones averaged 12 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists on 48.9% from the floor.
Could he be the missing point guard the Suns have always needed?
If things don’t work with Jones right away, other people will agree with Marbury and the cries for a shooting point guard will only grow.
