It’s not always easy to be a rookie with the Golden State Warriors.
The team has so many big names and so much veteran talent that receiving minutes on the court isn’t always a breeze.
But Brandin Podziemski might be on his way to having a stellar first season with the Warriors.
Following a strong game on Friday night, he received high praise from Warriors icon Stephen Curry.
According to Shayna Rubin, Curry said, “BP really has been showing how much he understands the game of basketball at a young age and how confident he is in himself and that shows every time he steps on the floor. That’s a nice surprise.”
Add Steph Curry to the list of Warriors impressed by rookie Podziemski: "BP really has been showing how much he understands the game of basketball at a young age and how confident he is in himself and that shows every time he steps on the floor. That's a nice surprise."

He definitely showed a solid understanding on Friday night.
In a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Podziemski scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists.
It was his first double-double of his NBA career but it might not be his last.
Just a few nights before, Podziemski posted 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
For both games, he has been on the court for 26 minutes but head coach Steve Kerr might give him more opportunities in the weeks ahead.
Podziemski was the 19th overall pick in June’s draft and it wasn’t clear how much he’d play.
Being a guard with the Warriors means you have to share your time with both Curry and Klay Thompson.
Therefore, a strong showing in the Summer League and preseason is key to earning minutes during the regular season.
No one knows how much time Podziemski will get in 2023-24 but he could end up being a very helpful, clutch bench player.
If he does play a lot, it’ll be because of how he has proven himself during the preseason.
