At the beginning of Stephen Curry’s career in the NBA, it looked like his body wouldn’t hold up, as the soon-to-be superstar simply couldn’t stay healthy as he dealt with a number of ankle issues.
Fortunately for the Golden State Warriors, Curry changed things up and figured out how to prepare his body for the rigors of an 82-game season, which resulted in the Davidson product ascending to superstar status while single-handedly changing the way the game is played.
Along with ushering in the three-point shooting era in the NBA, Curry recently reminisced about when he knew he had turned things around and that his career was headed in the right direction.
Curry pointed out a 54-point performance he had at the iconic Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, as he told the Today Show via ClutchPoints.
"My 4th year we had a game in New York at the Garden. I scored 54 points but we lost that night. That game specifically just kind of changed the narrative."

Most superstars in the league remember the moment they knew that they had arrived, and this moment against the Knicks, despite the loss, is a perfect one for Curry as it is no easy task to have success on that infamous floor in New York.
From then on out, Curry won four NBA championships with the Warriors and defined an era of basketball with his style of play, which was once thought to be reckless.
Curry remains one of the best players in the NBA today and has kept Golden State relevant this entire time, and will hope to bounce back next season after a playoff loss to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
