The New York Knicks looked poised to take a huge leap forward after taking down the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They were physical, efficient, and played hard on both ends of the floor, and they would have home-court advantage over the Miami Heat.
Unfortunately for their fans, and especially for Stephen A. Smith, they just haven’t been able to keep that same intensity up against an even more physical team.
That’s why Smith claims to be “disgusted” with several players, going as far as to say that they should try and trade Julius Randle.

Smith ripped Randle for not stepping up in the postseason again, also criticizing RJ Barrett for not showing up.
The controversial pundit did have words of praise for Jalen Brunson and his solid first season with the organization, but he was still livid at the rest of the team.
Smith claims that Tom Thibodeau could’ve at least tried to do something different and use some of the guys that haven’t been a part of the rotation lately, such as Derrick Rose or Evan Fournier.
He added that he has no intention whatsoever of being in attendance at Madison Square Garden for Game 5, citing that he’s not even going to watch the game.
Stephen A. admitted that he’s simply not objective when it comes to his beloved Knicks, and he vowed to dig deep into their issues on his ESPN show, First Take.
It was a nice season for the Knickerbockers, all things considered, but they’re not going out on a high note at all.
