Stephen A. Smith loves what he sees from the Golden State Warriors and thinks they could be a serious dark horse coming out of the Western Conference at the end of the regular season.
Sitting in on First Take Friday morning, Smith told his cohosts “don’t sleep” on the Warriors.
Smith thinks that this team can continue to rally and surprise the rest of the Western Conference, just like they have in the past.

There is reason to believe in what Smith is saying because the Warriors have shocked the NBA world before and found a lot more success than expected.
They have recently looked like a much better team and one that could make serious noise in the playoffs.
Over the last 12 games, Golden State has gone 10-2 and have brought their record up to 31-27.
That isn’t good enough to secure a spot in the playoffs right now but they are tenth in the West, which means they’d qualify for the Play-In Tournament if it started today.
If the Warriors had been playing like this all season long, they’d be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs and would be a fearsome team.
They are rallying late in the season, but is it too late?
Stephen Curry and the rest of his squad will certainly need to keep playing at this level night after night because they have dug themselves into a deep hole and can’t let up now and slip back into old bad habits.
For the first time in a long time, the team is healthy and playing well together but they just need to keep it up.
Because of their vast experience in the playoffs, they could be a serious threat, if only they can make it that far.
They are a dark horse team that would surely strike fear in the hearts of many opponents.
