Stephen A. Smith recently spoke about Kevin Durant, and the Phoenix Suns star wasn’t happy about that.
After Smith questioned his leadership skills, Durant referred to the famous commentator as a “clown”.
And now Smith is pushing back.
Speaking on “First Take”, via Legion Hoops, Smith responded to Durant’s words, saying:
“I got bad news for Kevin Durant: If you’re expecting me to reciprocate with that kind of pettiness and childlessness, it’s not gonna happen… Could you stop lying please?… Who’s allowed to talk about him?”

Smith has repeatedly questioned Durant’s leadership abilities and his commitment to guiding his Suns.
Durant is seemingly tuned into sports media and had a response to Smith, saying that he has never seen him practicing basketball at a film session or in a shoot-around.
After that, Durant called him a clown.
Now Smith is questioning if anyone can ever raise an objection about Durant and his career.
Durant is one of the most talked-about stars in the league but he has experienced a lot of criticism over the years.
Some people have called him a ring chaser, while others have said that he’s not the sort of player who can lead teams.
So far this season, Durant is averaging 25.8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists and his Suns are 5-1.
No matter what Smith and others say about him, Durant is still one of the best players in the world.
But he’s also someone who will fire back at people when they speak about him and that’s obviously not going to change.
