Kyrie Irving has been one of the biggest talking points in NBA circles for years now.
It seems like trouble and headlines seem to follow him wherever he goes, as much as he claims he doesn’t want anything to do with that.
Irving surely didn’t help his case by showing up to the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets Game 4 and sitting courtside to watch the purple and gold get swept.
Obviously, people started talking and speculating whether Kyrie was going to sign with the Lakers or if it was a power move to get the Dallas Mavericks to give him more money.
Irving took offense to that and called the media and people out for talking about him again, which led Stephen A. Smith to respond in his usual fashion.

"Respectfully, to Kyrie Irving, who doesn't want us talking about him, don't play basketball. We talk about basketball. … Only him seems to be somebody that would take offense to that." pic.twitter.com/jCh7z9at6b

Smith started by lauding Kyrie’s talents on the court, and even claimed that he’s a good dude and a smarter person than people give him credit for.
He later stated that if he doesn’t want basketball analysts to talk about him, then he should quit playing basketball, as they’re not talking about him as a person or the never-ending string of controversies he’s starred in; they’re just talking about hoops.
Smith added that Irving could shift the balance of power in the league depending on where he decides to play next season, citing that he’s the only person on Earth who could take offense to those comments.
Last but not least, he made it clear that he only got those seats because the Lakers gave them to him, so that is obviously going to lead to speculation.
