Things haven’t been going too well for the Golden State Warriors lately.
The team, who are still the reigning champions of the NBA, are currently 10th in the West with 14-15.
That means that if the playoffs started today, they’d just barely be fighting their way into the play-in tournament.
Obviously, this is not a position that Finals victors want to be in.
Is it the goal for the Warriors to maintain a .500 record for when Steph Curry returns?

Now, the news has gone from bad to worse.
Stephen Curry injured his left shoulder the other night and an MRI confirmed that he had a shoulder subluxation.
A definitive timetable for Curry’s return hasn’t been released by the team yet but sources say that he will be out for at least two weeks.
That will be two weeks that the Warriors will have to get by without their best player.
Curry opened up about the challenges his team will face without him.
When asked if the Warriors are just going to try to get to and maintain a .500 record, Curry was quite honest:
“That’s always a good soundbite because it gives you something to key on. But where we’re at, we just want to win a road game.”
That’s a smart move because the Warriors are struggling on the road.
Warriors Whipped On The Road
The Warriors have a rough record when they are not playing at home.
Right now they have a 2-13 record when they are away, which highlights just how much they are hurting when facing an opponent’s court.
That hurt will only get worse without Curry, who has been solid for 30 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists this year.
He’s easily the best player on the roster and is putting up MVP numbers.
So, even the thought of maintaining a .500 record without Curry seems unlikely.
