Draymond Green was back with the Golden State Warriors on Friday night following his latest ejection earlier in the week.
He scored 8 points and 8 rebounds during the team’s 115-97 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Following the game, Stephen Curry spoke with the media and said how necessary Green is, especially as the team fights for its life before the playoffs.
“It was important. We need him… For us to try to finish the season strong and give ourselves the best shot now in the standings… We want an opportunity. And he’s a huge part of that,” Curry said, via ClutchPoints.

The Warriors remain the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 39-34 record, which means the Houston Rockets are still hot on their heels.
The Rockets have now won 11 straight games and hold a 38-35 record so it’s pivotal that the Warriors win as much as possible in the final few weeks of 2023-24.
Their last several weeks are a mixed bag of opponents, featuring a few tough ones and a few easier ones.
If they remain together and healthy, the Warriors could retain their spot in the Play-In Tournament but every win counts.
That is why so many Warriors fans were frustrated by Green’s latest ejection: it came at a time when the team needed him most.
Hopefully, it was his last one of the season and he can remain focused for the next few weeks.
Throughout their time together, Curry has repeatedly said that Green brings so much to the team.
Even through a number of controversies, Curry has stood by his friend’s side.
He did that again on Friday night and was very happy to have him back in the lineup.
